Lou Carreras trained as a practicing anthropologist (educated at Boston University and University of Pennsylvania). During a forty year career he has worked for a wide variety of clients, including: the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts Arts Council, Department of Interior, Smithsonian Institution and Kraft General Foods. His specialty was the creation of cultural programs for public and educational venues. His background in video and community television began in the mid 1980’s producing documentaries and community cultural presentations. He began working for Shirley Media in 2003.
